The Gulmarg Gondola is a two-phase cable car that climbs from the meadow at 2,650 m to the Apharwat ridge at 3,980 m. Phase 1 reaches Kongdoori in about ten minutes; Phase 2 goes on to the snowline and runs only when the weather holds. Book Phase 2 online before you travel — the counter queue is the whole morning.
